The Waiting Surprise
Fifi can't wait for Grandma to arrive. With Momo by her side, she finds a busy way to pass the time until a happy hello.
Fifi pressed her nose to the window. "Is Grandma here yet?" she asked. Momo's tail flicked.
"Waiting feels like forever, " Momo said. Fifi sighed. "I just want her to be here now."
Fifi had an idea. "Let's make a welcome sign for Grandma!" She got paper and crayons. Momo watched with his head tilted.
"Oops!" Momo's paw landed in the blue paint. He left little paw prints across the paper. Fifi giggled. "Now it's extra special."
Just then, the doorbell rang. Fifi ran to the door, still holding the painting. Grandma knelt down for a big hug.
"For you, " Fifi said, handing her the sign. Grandma smiled, her hand closing around Fifi's. The blue paw prints looked like tiny stars.
