The Tangled Yarn
Fifi finds a ball of yarn and tries to make a surprise, but it turns into a big tangle. With Momo beside her, she discovers that sharing the truth can help untangle any mess.
Fifi spotted the squishy ball of purple yarn on the sofa and her eyes lit up. 'Momo, look! I can make a giant spider web with this!' she whispered, grabbing the yarn.
Momo tilted his head and mewed softly, 'But your mom said not to touch her knitting things, right?' Fifi bit her lip. 'It's just for a minute, ' she said, already looping the yarn around the table legs.
Suddenly, the yarn snagged on a chair leg and a huge knot appeared. Fifi tugged, but the tangle only grew bigger, covering her hands. 'Oh no, oh no!' she squeaked, trying to hide the mess behind a pillow.
Momo sniffed the tangled loop around his tail and let out a tiny, squeaky whine. Fifi couldn't help but giggle, even as her tummy felt jittery. Then she took a deep breath, 'Momo, I have to tell Mom.'
Fifi found Mom in the kitchen and blurted out, 'I made a big knot with your yarn and I'm sorry!' Mom knelt down and gave her a gentle squeeze. 'Thank you for being honest, sweetie. Let's see if we can fix it together.'
Side by side, they carefully unrolled the purple yarn, untangling each loop. Soon, a neat little ball sat in Mom's palm. Momo yawned, a tiny piece of yarn still hooked over his ear, and Fifi smiled, feeling warm inside.
